Catering Policies & Fees

Menu Pricing
The menu price quoted is based on the estimated guest count. If the guaranteed guest count is significantly less than the estimated guest count, we may have to reprice the menu as fixed costs must be amortized over the fewer attending number of guests.

KR’s Geaux-2 Catering reserves the right to substitute ingredients and/or increase prices in the event that food prices rise substantially between the time of the signing of the contract and the date of the event.  We will notify you promptly to discuss.

Inclusive In Menu Pricing
All of our on-site catering service includes disposable table cloths for the buffet tables. Buffet Tables, Food warmers/chafing equipment are available for a rental fee.

Tastings
KR’s Geaux-2 Catering offers a tasting for large events (minimum 150 guests).  We charge $40 per entrée item (three 12-14 oz. servings per entrée choice) and $30 per appetizer item (3 sample size portions per appetizer choice) for tastings. These fees covers the cost of food, time spent shopping, prepping, cooking, and kitchen labor. The fee is refunded as credit on your final paid booking invoice balance.

18% Catering Fee
This charge will be included in your invoice/proposal which offsets labor and administration costs such as administrative tasks, working with rental companies, dishwashing, packing and loading for your event, site visits, labor costs, and travel time to and from your event, etc. State and local tax fees will be added.

Guest Count Guarantee
A final guest count is required 21 business days prior to the event.

Guest Count Increases
We will entertain guest count increases after the guaranteed guest count is received, but no later than 10 days prior to event date.  KR’s Geaux-2 Catering, however reserves the right to make substitutions in menus item(s) for those guests in excess of the final guaranteed guest count.

Pricing for Children and Vendors

Meals for children 3 and under are free.

Service Staff (Buffet Service)
KR’s Geaux-2 Catering offers professionally trained team members for your event. All staffing requires a two hour minimum. Full service events with more than 100 guests require an Event Manager.
Event Manager @ $40.00 per hour
On-Site Chef @ $50.00 per hour
Server @ $30.00 per hour
Kitchen Staff @ $25.00 per hour

Deposit
A 50% deposit of total invoice cost and a signed Catering Contract is required to reserve a catering date.  If deposit is not received by the due date, KR’s Geaux-2 Catering, LLC will open up the date to other clients.  The deposit will be applied to your final invoice balance.

Payments
KR’s Geaux-2 Catering accepts cash, checks (business/certified only), Visa, MasterCard (plus 3.5% card processing fee). Full payment for your catered event must be received at least fourteen (14) days prior to the event. Unpaid balances are subject to penalties, interest, or both.

Cancellations

Cancellation notice should be given in writing as soon as possible. Refunds will be determined by the date of cancellation compared to the event date. The client is responsible for all out-of-pocket expenses (e.g.: purchased food, non-refundable rental expenses, fuel charges) sustained by KR’s Geaux-2 Catering. In addition, KR’s Geaux-2 Catering has the right to retain 50% of the deposit if you cancel the event 60 days prior to the event date, or 100% of the deposit if you cancel the event 30 days or less prior to the event date.

Leftover Food
The client may keep any and all leftover food if KR’s Geaux-2 Catering agrees that it is still safe to consume after extended holding times. KR’s Geaux-2 Catering reserves the right to remove and dispose of all leftover food and beverages not consumed by the end of an event. If leftover food is taken by you or event guests, it then becomes your or the guest’s responsibility for proper refrigeration and handling. KR’s Geaux-2 Catering waives any liability of any leftover food taken by you or your guests.

Gratuity
Gratuities for staff are not included but are graciously accepted for a job well done.

Deliveries and Service
KR’s Geaux-2 Catering delivers and service the majority of the San Antonio area. There is a $35 delivery charge for drop off orders. For deliveries and service outside of the San Antonio area, an additional charge will be added to your bill based on distance to/from your location.

Drop-off Order Cancellations
Drop-off orders are subject to a 50% cancellation fee within 3 days and a 100% cancellation fee 24 hours prior to event date.
